CONVERSE. Introducing The Ball Room, a 1250 square feet temporary museum honoring the past, the present, and the future of basketball. From historical memorabilia borrowed from
Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, to a myriad of molded parts for Hyperfuse and Hyperdunk. It is a life-size timeline and interactive exhibition, which encourages visitors to not only visualize, but also use all their senses in experience the game of basketball. Unfortunately, the space is a temporary one, lasting from now till August 29th. For the time being, it should be an attraction on everyone’s must visit list.
As international press corp converge in New York City for the much anticipated World Basketball Festival. Nike Basketball, Jordan Brand, and CONVERSE will be hosting a series of venues across this city of 8 million, from concerts, in-store appearances, even to pop-up retail locations. Introducing BLVD 134, a stand along storefront on the edge of Harlem and just a block east of The Ball Room exhibition space. In essence a temporary “Nike 255 Lab”, BLVD 134 allows visitors, both local and foreign, to get hands-on the personalization and customization process. Included are several special options only available during the time of World Basketball Festival. The BLVD 134 retail concept will open till this Sunday, August 15th, when WBF wraps up in Madison Square Garden.
